The worst reality for Pakistani youth is that your future is primarily dependant on the family you are born in. And it has been the same since independence (barring exceptions such as success stories based on scholarships, miracles)
If your family is rich
They can afford to give You quality education (as govt schools are operating mostly in Stone Age era )
You will have a vibrant social life since your family friends and network will comprise ppl with power and positions
You will marry well since most marriages are done based on class compatibility.
You will get a better job because of your grooming and education (technical and soft skills) in quality institutes
You will own more gadgets and assets that enhance your learning quotient
You will have social security as your job /family provides medical/security coverage and you will generate wealth
You will eventually take on senior positions and then hire quality candidates (who are also from privileged families)
And the cycle continues…
Unfortunately the government hasn’t done much to enhance education, social security, income equality and hence we will see a couple of generations with the same cycle. Imagine Pakistan missing out on talent primarily because of lack of awareness and developed skillset. And it doesn’t look like that the government is even serious in uplifting the youth
But I won’t lose hope, and so shouldnt YOU… With every sunset comes a new sunrise
There is an urgent need at government schools to teach kids exportable skills (AI, data related fields, content creation) from an early age. Doesn’t matter where your degree is from but if you have the skill to add value, you will eventually be financially stable and can start affording a life that the government /setup couldn’t provide. Our teaching should be about how to become financially independent while learning other basic skills. Sad state of affairs for the majority but iA we will turn around the setup. How?
1) For those who can afford, please take up responsibility for covering tuition fee of your house help/ppl you know directly
2) Teach AI skills to your kids. Everything is available online
3) Start creating a personal brand for your kids from the beginning. Open their Yt channel. Let them learn on how to create engaging content
4) Teach financial literacy and importance of investing. Dont push them to go for jobs necessarily
5) Those who want to pursue the corporate world, make sure they master Magic 6 (https://youtube.com/live/m3Z4Qh4lHVc)
6) Help NGOs like The Citizens Foundation Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan [Official] and JDC Foundation Pakistan as they do amazing work in uplifting uneducated youth
